3-Year Old Preschool Program
For many of our three year olds, this will be a first school experience . We provide a secure, caring environment where your child can develop a positive self image and a love of learning. We encourage the spirit of your three year old and guide them through exploring their strengths and interests through play and hands on learning. We follow a structured schedule which includes circle time, arts and crafts, story time, music and movement, and learning activities associated with our curriculum goals. The children enjoy playing outdoors on our play ground and riding tricycles. They practice sharing, taking turns and problem solving. The educational activities and creative play time we provide offers the ideal balance for three year old development.
4-Year Old Preschool Program
Our four year old program allows for exploration, self expression and developmentally age appropriate activities. Four year olds love to ask "why" and "how come". Here at Children of Mary we will give them the opportunity to explore the world around them, discover friendships, develop a positive self image and begin their academic education. We have wonderful opportunities to explore the beautiful grounds of the Marian Shrine. The children are able to ride a bus to the apple orchard and ride a tractor when they pick pumpkins, what a wonderful experience. The four year old's will be able to explore each center in the classroom, which includes, math, science, art, blocks, language, dramatic play etc. We are able to provide a computer center and music and movement as part of the program. The academic program also includes learning letters, numbers, language, STEM programs and the world that God has provided for us through religion.
Kindergarten
Children of Mary Nursery Kindergarten offers full day kindergarten as well as A.M. and P.M. kindergarten enrichment. Our small class size and student/teacher ratios encourage lifelong learners. Our kindergarten meets New York State curriculum standards. Children learn and play in a nurturing and supportive environment that incorporates religion, language and literacy, mathematics, science, social studies, health, art, music and movement. The children are encouraged to actively participate in their learning through center based activities, independent exploration and cooperative learning. Growth in kindergarten is measured in many ways- a letter of the alphabet learned, a building constructed from blocks, a wonder of science explored, a question answered, a friendship made or a kindness shared. Watching our kinder”garden” grow is a collaborative effort between teaching staff, parents and community.

Children of Mary will also be offering additional classes starting fall of 2017 and spring of 2018 they include classes for the little ones 2 & 3 yr. olds (2 by Sept. 1st) ...Mommy and Me. These classes will be held Tues. or Thurs. 10:15 to 11:15. This class will be on going- for 2018 classes call 845-947-3183.
